Nearly 25 years ago, the Braindogs came together for a single night. The concert was such an overwhelming success that it became one of the most cherished winter traditions of the year. Ever since, the band has reunited annually to pay tribute to Tom Waits and his extraordinary body of work on the occasion of his birthday.

Tom Waits’s brilliant songs, unmistakable musical universe and controlled madness come alive once again in the hands of this international supergroup. The lineup brings together acclaimed artists in their own right: British blues singer Ian Siegal, Central European blues icon Ripoff Raskolnikov, Mischa Den Haring, frontman of the Dutch roots-rock band T-99, alongside Frenk, Nagy Szabolcs, Varga Laca and Gábor Andor UFO.

What makes Braindogs special is that its members are not only devoted admirers of Tom Waits, but also accomplished performers and songwriters with distinctive musical backgrounds and careers of their own. Their coming together creates a concert that celebrates Waits’s remarkable songwriting while leaving plenty of room for each musician’s individual character and interpretation.
