A Program

Co Lee

A Program

A Program is the second Hungarian-language album by Co Lee. After the circus-themed Cirque de L'Homme, which followed the mixtape format that is considered a classic in the Hungarian rap scene, A Program is a much more stripped-down, edgy soundtrack. The album was born on a single guitar over a summer weekend, then smoothed by DOÓR into hot and occasionally heartbreakingly subtle beats. The album features bass from a rumbling train, an ethereal choral solo and a poem about half of a poem with a visceral confession. Concave rhymes, almost habitually exciting rhythms and totally unique lyrics characterise this special soundtrack.

With A Program, Co Lee takes the visceral honesty that already pervades his music to a new level. The album is a staggeringly bold step in the journey of an artist who doesn't want to reach the masses in the tried and tested way, but wants to create something so big that it will have a lasting taste-forming effect on his home audience.

Újmagyar életérzés

young B!TE

Újmagyar életérzés

The CEO of sex, the cruel lyrical mind, after several creative eras, is finally coming out to the public: he has realised that life is beautiful - and he's even advertising it!

Young B!TE was first introduced to us as the potent emperor of high school literature, a man of pussy and booze. He then took it up a notch as an intergalactic crime lord, turning drugs into a sport and running a brothel full of aliens. The funny rapper's second full-length album, Újmagyar életérzés, which has just been released, is a sharp turn from his previous albums.

The snappy irony, turned up to the max, has been replaced by a more sensitive, sincere, but equally high-toned post-ironic tone: sex jokes and satirical nagging have been overshadowed by the album's theme that it's not so bad to be emotional and see life as beautiful. Given the fundamental negativity and ego-centricity of the genre, Young B!TE finds the concept of an optimistic, positive rap album particularly funny. On the other hand, he is particularly bothered by the fact that the main stereotype about Hungarians is that we are pessimistic and always dwelling on the past. Moreover, we are surprisingly at peace with this image.

Set on a spaceship stranded in outer space, this is the debut album from Slapstick?, who have named themselves after a Vonnegut book. Premier!

LIFTOFF is a concept album, each song is set on a spaceship carrying a crowd of people fleeing Earth to their new home, but it malfunctions and becomes stranded in space. The songs, which range from dancing funky, to catchy jazz-pop, to experimental balladry, are about different passengers, and explore feelings of loneliness, stuckness, disorientation and the nihilism, melancholy and despair that go with it. towpe was responsible for the blur.

VilágHB

In their songs, the sunset gleams on a south coast beer belly, mixed with the despair of a young man crying out in anguish as he drops a chocolate pudding sponge cake cube to the ground. It's a bit difficult to narrow down their music, which is full of grooves and virtuosic, provocative lyrics, but if there is one thing that could succinctly describe the band's sound, it would be: sad, melancholy, melancholy jazz-pop. The album they are trying to present is WorldHB.

The return album of Európa Kiadó after some 20 years. It was a process to search for a form and content. At the same time, it gave new impetus to the process which led to a more mature published material - Valahol Lenni.
